One logo or a layered design

Use a light Draft label for reviews, a transparent logo for reports, or a repeated pattern for sample documents. Combine up to eight text and image layers, with independent color, size, opacity and rotation.

Use page ranges to leave out a cover. Add {page} and {total} to text for page-specific labels. Need a dedicated header or footer? Add page numbers to your PDF.

Watermark PDF: common questions

How do I add a watermark to a PDF?

Choose your PDF, enter text or select a PNG or JPG logo, then adjust its size and position in the preview. Choose the pages to mark and select Add watermark. Download saves a new PDF; your original file stays unchanged.

Can I add both a logo and a text watermark?

Yes. Add separate image and text layers, each with its own position, size, rotation and opacity. You can combine up to eight layers, such as a company logo and a Draft label.

Can I watermark selected pages or skip the cover?

Yes. Enter page numbers or ranges, such as 2-5, 8. You can also choose odd or even pages and skip the first page. Pages outside your selection stay in the PDF without the new watermark.

Does adding a watermark reduce PDF quality?

The tool adds text and image layers without turning your PDF pages into pictures. Existing text and graphics keep their original resolution. Use a high-resolution logo for sharp image watermarks; transparent PNG files retain their transparency.

Does a watermark prevent copying or editing?

No. A watermark is a visible label, not encryption or copy protection. Editing a digitally signed PDF can invalidate its signature. Use an unsigned copy when you need to add a watermark.

Are my PDFs or logos uploaded?

No. PDFMeadow processes the PDF and logo in your browser. Neither file is uploaded to our server. This tool needs an unencrypted PDF, and very large files may exceed your device's available memory.
